CanSkate - Canada's #1 Learn to Skate Program!
CanSkate is Skate Canada's official learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. It's the foundation for figure skating, hockey, ringette, and recreational skating. Our CanSkate pathway progresses skaters from their very first steps on the ice through to advanced skills that prepare them for specialized programs like PowerSkate or STARSkate.
Taught by Skate Canada-certified coaches, CanSkate is fun, dynamic, and achievement-driven. Skaters move through levels at their own pace, earning badges and ribbons as they gain balance, control, and agility.
Our CanSkate pathway includes three progressive stages:
first steps for ages 3 to 5
foundational skills for ages 5+
higher-level skills (CanSkate levels 5 & 6)
