Pre-CanSkate - First Steps on the Ice!
The Pre-CanSkate program is the perfect introduction to skating for children ages 3 to 5. This shortened program helps little ones build confidence while learning how to stand up, balance, move forward, and glide in a fun, supportive environment.
Led by Skate Canada-certified coaches, sessions use toys, games, and music to create an engaging experience that makes learning to skate exciting.
Who it's for:
Ages 3 to 5, brand new to skating or still building confidence.
What they'll learn:
Balance, falling down and getting up, forward movement, and basic gliding.
Why it matters:
Creates a strong, positive foundation for progression into CanSkate.
As Pre-CanSkaters gain confidence and develop their skills mid-season, coaches may recommend moving them into the CanSkate program. When this happens, families are expected to register in CanSkate, and any unused Pre-CanSkate fees will be refunded.

Mondays and Fridays, 5:50 to 6:20 PM

There are limited spots in this program. If the program is full, please join the waitlist and monitor your email. As skaters progress into CanSkate, spots will open up throughout the season. When your name comes up on the waitlist, you'll receive an email notification - act quickly, you'll have only two days to accept!
